Terms & Conditions

By creating an Aegis Router account, purchasing PAYG credits or a subscription, generating an API key, or sending any request to the Aegis proxy, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you are using Aegis on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and the terms “you” and “your” refer to that organization.

Aegis Router provides an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint that routes chat completion requests to upstream model providers on your behalf. PAYG credits and any active Pro monthly credit fund requests, which draw from the balance according to measured usage.

Aegis is a routing and billing layer. The underlying models are provided by third parties and are subject to their own availability, limitations, and policies outside of Aegis’s control.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and your API keys.

• API keys are shown once at creation time. Store them securely.
• Rotate or delete a key immediately if it is exposed or compromised.
• Do not share, resell, or sublicence keys for use outside your own use cases.

PAYG top-ups and Aegis Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. PAYG credits are denominated in US dollars, do not expire, and are restricted to Aegis services. Pro costs $10 per month and includes $5 of monthly usage credit.

• Unused Pro monthly credit expires when the billing period ends.
• PAYG credits are used after any active Pro monthly credit and do not expire.
• PAYG usage is charged at the current $10/kWh customer rate.
• PAYG users receive best-effort shared capacity; Pro provides reserved concurrency.
• Aegis offers no free trial or automatic signup balance.
• Optimization is available to paid users and may reduce measured energy; no reduction is guaranteed.
• Pricing, rates, and model availability may change with notice on this page.
• Aegis is not responsible for usage caused by misconfigured autoscaling agents or runaway loops.

You agree not to use Aegis to:

• Violate any applicable law or third-party right.
• Generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the proxy infrastructure.
• Resell access to the service without authorization.

Aegis may suspend or terminate access for violations of these rules, with or without notice, and forfeit any associated balance in cases of fraud or abuse.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Aegis does not guarantee that requests will always succeed, that upstream models will remain available, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aegis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of your use of the service.

Aegis’s total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50).

You may close your account at any time by deleting your API keys and stopping use of the service. Aegis may suspend or terminate accounts for inactivity, abuse, or non-payment of subscription fees. Refunds and disputes may reduce the associated PAYG balance; if the balance cannot cover the reversal, Aegis may suspend the account pending review.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Unused PAYG credits and Pro monthly credit are non-refundable unless required by law.

Aegis may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
